APPROACH TO PARAMETRIC ARCHITECTURE / ITESM CSF
Basic Approach to Parametric Architecture as a Design Process for Developing Stadium Facades and Tensile Structures within ITESM CSF. The courses were taught by architects Fabiano Continanza and Alejandro González and were held in consecutive years.
The first project involved creating the envelope for a stadium where we not only had to manage it at the model and digital drawing level but also in its physical form. The envelope was created using tools like Grasshopper and Rhino, while the model was laser-cut and assembled by hand. (2016 with Paulina Elizondo and Alberto Larios)
The second project aimed to propose tensile structures for an atrium on the campus using the same software tools but with a different conceptualization due to the type of space and the project itself. The tensile structures were digitally designed but were represented for the course submission in physical form through a model and photos. (2017 with Pablo Ruiz and Carlos Iván Espejel)
Acercamiento básico a la arquitectura paramétrica como proceso de diseño para elaborar fachadas (estadio) y velarias dentro del ITESM CSF. Los cursos fueron impartidos por los arquitectos Fabiano Continanza y Alejando González, y se llevaron en años consecutivos.
El primer proyecto fue realizar el envolvente para un estadio donde no solo deberíamos manejarlo a nivel modelo y dibujo digital, sino que la forma física del mismo. El envolvente se realizó utilizando herramientas como Grasshopper y Rhino mientras que la maqueta fue cortada a laser y ensamblada a mano. (2016 con Paulina Elizondo y Alberto Larios)
El segundo proyecto buscaba realizar una propuesta de velarías para un atrio en el Campus utilizando las mismas herramientas de software pero con una manera de conceptualizar diferente debido al tipo de espacio y el proyecto en sí. Las velarias se diseñaron de manera digital, aunque fueron representadas para la entrega del curso de manera física en una maqueta + fotos. (2017 con Pablo Ruiz y Carlos Iván Espejel)
